Blue Suede Cruise – July 17-19, 2015!

Today there may be no more firsts but the memories are alive and well as Summit Motorsports Park. The Fonz, Cunninghams and Elvis are all gone but the cars and Doo-Wop live on. One weekend out of every race season, Summit Motorsports Park transitions back into time. Thousands of candy colored hot rods, customs, muscle cars, trick trucks, etc. from the first generation of the automobile up to 1972 will congregate for an entire weekend for the opportunity to “show and tell” about their special rides. Many will decorate their area with all the necessary accessories of the era and may even dress in period crrect outfits just to get into the “spirit” of the weekend. Enthusiast can stroll through the acres of show fields, to reminisce with the participants and maybe even bring home their ‘dream car’.

Registered participants will also have plenty of opportunities to race their ‘hot rods’ down the quarter mile to see if they are just as fast as they remember. Fun runs will take place before and after the nostalgia drag racing all three days. (Note times in the schedule)

More off-track activities have been scheduled which will appeal to all ages and genders, ‘Here it from the expert” seminars, a Vintage Fashion Show, an expanded ‘Woman’s World’, a Manufactures Mid-way including some of the major players in the industry, such as Summit Racing, Wanda/AkzoNobel, Muscle Products and Trick Flow; a coloring contest, a live concert, featuring the Phil Dirt & The Dozers , flame throwing contest (details below) and of course Fireworks!
